I just placed my order with Hendrick Jeep in North Charleston. I really wanted to go with Travis but could not get info from him. And I got a great deal from Hendrick. Got 5 percent below cost and got about $1000 more for my trade than what KBB had listed.

Ordered a base Sport (not a Sport S) with manual windows, mirrors and locks and a manual transmission. Only options added were the hard top, $250 receiver hitch and rubber mats. Color is silver.

I already have a Mopar hard folding tonneau cover as well as a Bestop Sunrider. Small problem with the Sunrider though. The sides are for a Gladiator. However the main top section has an incorrect part number on it and the sides will not bolt on to the top. So I am today sending the entire thing back to Quadratec so they can get the right one shipped to me.

I also got a little 3 inch antenna and it works great on a Gladiator. Tried it out in one today.

Am also going to get some step bars once I decide which one to get.

I also got a rubber mat in for the bed and tailgate yesterday.

Will put an Alpine stereo system with navigation when I get the truck.

And believe it or not but I will not change out the wheels or tires. Kinda like the black look of the base trucks wheels, will not show up brake dust as much.

Guys at the dealership felt that I might get lucky and get it in just 6 weeks time. But we all know that is a fantasy time line here. Would not be at all surprised if it takes up to 3 months. Not holding my breath while the Jeep clock goes tick tock week after week and sometimes stops working, sometimes goes in reverse or just has to be re-booted.

nice start, I thought of starting with a base model, but knowing my prior history, I went a different route this time.

I was really torn between Sport and Rubicon. I just couldn't decide kept going back and forth. The Trac Loc not being orderable was my deciding factor. Went Rubicon. I really contemplated getting a base Sport though put 12 or 15 down and get below $300 payments. I also like the base wheels more than the Sport S anyway. Congratulations man.

Congrats man. Hope the Jeep gods smile upon your build and get it out quickly.

I also like the base wheels too. I look at the build sheet for my Sport S and it shows the black wheels being replaced by the silver ones. I want the black ones! Good call

Yes you get those silver wheels along with power windows, mirrors and locks and I think that’s about the only big differences between base Sport and Sport S, oh and a few thousands of dollars too!!!!!
