No installers in KS so looks like I won't be getting the opportunity to have installed.
We are always working to grow our network! I have reached out to our team to see how we can help service your area.

that's what I was thinking but if it does really work and is that much more durable it may be worth it than having to pay a $500 deductible through insurance to have multiple shields each time.
Wow, I've never gone through insurance to have one replaced. It only cost me $350 to have someone come to my house and do it. It wasn't gorilla glass but its lasted a year now with no chips and in CO that's pretty good.

since it's a film it won't obstruct the wiper use. I'm surprised you got it replaced that cheap without insurance, you go through safelite?

Was this for your Gladiator? $650 is definitely on the high end for a Jeep install. We recommend maybe calling around to get additional quotes or feel free to reach out to us with your location and we'll see if we can help :)

So.... cheaper just to get another windshield. Or is the film you something you likely won't have to replace? I guess if it at least doubles the life it would be worth it. How does the film deal with the friction of wipers going across it constantly?
Pricing is set by our installers so make sure to check with your local installer to make sure the pricing is accurate.

The scratch resistance of ExoShield is powered by our proprietary nanocoating that is applied to the film during manufacturing. Over time you will notice micro-scratching, similar to how glass wears.

Fun fact: at our core we are a nanotechnology company. All of the science behind our world class film has been developed, and continues to be innovated by our team up here in Waterloo, Ontario ??

That's what an installer near me quoted, I'm near Oklahoma City and there's only 2 installers in my area. Yes, it's a Gladiator.

Oh if only it were "true" our hearts would sing in joy.... However, unless you can give an ironclad impact warranty, meaning any kind of crack chip etc. reasonably and customarily expected to be occasionally encountered resulting from driving on us roads/and not involved in a collision is cover 100%, saying "manufacturing defects" only isn't worth very much...If your product fails us out on the road you need to AT LEAST be prepared to refund in full cost of your product incl. installation...What can be more fair than that, and btw, show us the confidence you have in your product?

Nothing personal, but this sound like gorilla glass 2.0 which has disappointed many on the forum who needed coverage.

Is there any improvement over the OEM in bug and water removal, by chance? If this film made it easier to get bugs off with just wipers, I’d be all over it

We feel your pain! If technology advanced at the flip of a lightswitch I can promise you our team would be the one flipping that switch to IMPENETRABLE DEFENSE MODE WITH MAXIMUM CLARITY...

Unfortunately that is not the case! What we can guarantee is that ExoShield is the best defense against rock chips that you can currently purchase and have installed onto your vehicle (unless you have a time machine, or know something about alien life forms we don't)

Until then, if you have a vehicle that you use as a daily driver you could purchase our extended glass warranty that does cover situations where damage is caused to the glass through ExoShield.

why is that not part of the standard warranty?

100% with you on this... a mfg defect warranty doesn't really help against the issues we are trying to avoid. Sure...it's not realistic to expect it to protect from certain size impacts, but some warranty against chips or cracks of a certain size would be better... unless the price was in the $300 range. And paying for an extended warranty that only covers your Jeep if you never take it off-road? Not sure how that makes the value prop any better?

This is going to be one of those things that's going to be hard to prove works. Extremely difficult to attribute the lack of breaking to the film, and I am pretty sure some of the cracks start from stress of the modular top not rocks. My current crack is not a rock at all, there is no chip or impact, and this film wouldn't do anything for it.
