I'm waiting to receive my fishbone tackle full-height bed rack and want a sturdy way to mount an awning. These look pretty stout compared to the other ones I've seen. Weird that fishbone doesn't make any for their own rack.
Those look great but the might have been fabbed by a shop, would not be a big deal to make two or three of those. I just put a awning on my cap and have the awning just above the roof of the Jeep and little bit front of the tail gate, reason it is moved forward of tailgate was with my cap rear hatch opened the awning covers it so it will help in the rain, the reason I am above the cap and in more is again rain on my cap but also I mounted it three times until I was happy , I am six foot and can walk around under it no problem but also getting above the cap keeps it tucked in more instead of sticking out so far. Unsolicited help can be a pain , but stop by a welding shop show them the pictures but tell them to use
2” X 2” 1/4” thick angle for the upright with the flat side out and that angle would weld to the sides of brace and eliminate that “L” shaped bend.
Again unsolicited photos about what I meant about getting tucked in , very happy with it!….Jack
