I'm cautiously optimistic the new Scout can do what they say it will. Keep up with Rivian at VW prices.

I live less than two miles from the site in SC where they are planning to build the Scout EV. No way in Hades with they have production of vehicles in 3rd qtr 2024. 2026 maybe. I'm curious what they mean by "Debut".

I do know they have cleared a lot of land though. But they have a new interstate exit to build, major road rerouting projects, rail road tracks to lay. Not to mention upto 4k people to hire a train.

The "Debut" is the prototypes hitting the road. They aren't planning to make any until 2026 at the earliest:

Nope. I read in one story that “mules” will be done by Q3 2024. Even that IMO is a huge stretch.

That is a shame. Even RIVIAN had something you could touch a couple of years before they went into full production.

Really? Wow, I’m surprised they had cars they were showing that far in advance. I wonder if that was them trying to drum up interest so they could use that public interest to help them Fund raise.

Personally, I’m getting tired of all these early announcements. I‘d much rather they develop the thing in secret and then roll it out when its done. It will be interesting to see what they come up with but I suspect they Will come to market with a BEV that is cost prohibitive……….like everyone else has. I will say though the coming Ram with the small engine generator has my interest.
