Definitely not drivable. It would be unsafe and irresponsible, if not outright illegal. My cousin got pulled over for a scuff like that, spent a year in county. I heard in Russia they hang you for operating a vehicle in this condition.

I cant yall, this is too much ? Troll post of the year ?
understand that not everyone wants their daily driver (haul kids, drive to meetings, etc) to have visible damage, regardless of perceived degree.

Heck, if it is a plastic just upgrade to a steel.
Haha. Love the steel but really don’t want to be throwing money at a bumper if I don’t have to. If I do, might as well be steel.
I can sympathize with being annoyed with a scuff like that. Have you tried hitting it with a scotch brite pad or some other lightly abrasive material? The various "back to black" substances will only work well if you have all the contaminants out of the scuffed area.

If it were mine, I would give it a deep clean, hit it with some high grit sandpaper (maybe start at 800, then 1000, then 1200). Then go several days with daily application of armorall/mcguires/back-to-black or whatever it is you prefer.

If, after a week or so, you still didn't like the looks of it then you could try to hit it with a heat gun (haven't done it, but i've heard it works!).
Great insight. Thank you!
You may be able to find a shop that does plastic repair that can fix it. Some upholstery or restoration shops have tools to repair scuffed or damaged plastic interior parts. Door panels, dashes, etc. The same process works on exterior plastics also. I repaired the textured panel on my Ram bumper by carefully heating the area with a heat gun, and pressing a piece of 80 grit sand paper on it. You really had to look close to tell any difference.

Really great idea. Thank you!
Bumber that cant take a bump??? Yep I had the same thin steel rectangular plate thats just strong enough to be mounted to the frame without bending and support a winch kit. Im not a muscular guy by any means and I can single arm curl the front bumber, but I get it, it keeps the mileage down and is perfectly fine for most jeep owners as long as nothing ever "bumps" it ;)
Exactly.

Can you wash off Pine resin? I got my Mojave last week of October so of course I had to take it out on a trail and shocker, snow on the ground in Colorado in Oct but not bad, took an elevated bypass and started to slide sideways driver side into a small 6-7in thick pine tree and that resin was caked on my door hinge, luckily had almost no real damage, couple dime size dents on the thin panal between my doors and scuffed up door handle, nothing to the doors got soooo lucky with my 5 day old Gladiator. I was afraid to be too aggressive with the resin, so I just embraced it along with new dents and bent hitch ring that I did going down the step I was trying to avoid with the bypass lol. That resin is starting to come off now by itself.
