Wondering if anyone goes between 35s and 37s somewhat regularly. I have a set of Open Country AT3s that I'd like to roll with in the winter with the 3 peak rating. Don't really snow wheel so they should be plenty. But for summers when I get my lift, I'd like to swap to RTs or MTs, and 37s are already calling me. I'm thinking the 2.5 Teraflex + Falcon SP 3.3.

Does anyone do this? 35s are the biggest tire I've run, so don't know all the considerations this might bring up.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I change between 35" and 37" regularly. Daily driver duties with the 35" and trails with 37".

I live in relatively flat southern California so I didn't need to re-gear. If you live in a hilly area or tow re-gearing would be nice, but not necessary IMO.

If you're wheeling hard trails Rubi 4.1 T-case and 4.10 gears make wheeling 37" a non-issue :)

I switch between my factory tires, which I think are 33ish, and my 37s on my rubi. The patagonia 37s kinda suck wet and snow, the falkens are pretty decent. I think Ill get more value and life from both tires if I go that route, no sense in wearing my fun tires when I likely won't do the fun things during winter.

If you run 37's, you might have an issue with the spare tire fitment, mine are closer to 36 and just barely don't rub on the rear track bar.......Im talking a mm or 2. Ill eventually get the clayton track bar with the large tire compatibility curve.

Yeah I am in Colorado, so 'hilly' is an understatement! At least once we go up to the trails. I am in a Rubicon.

Do you bounce between wheels too? Or just throw new tires on depending on your use?

That's exactly my thinking. And yeah good point about the rear track bar. I've been looking at the Falcon Wildpeak RTs for the trail tire, not sure how true to size those run.

So according to the website, those tires run at 36.8 inches, which is what the Patagonia's spec at. With only a couple mm of clearance in my truck, while pressing the tire against the trailer hitch hardware, you could have less or more space. I also removed the heatshield and have a different exhaust. which could also impact your space. I think I've heard of others fitting a 37 down there though so you could be just fine.
