Seat Jackers

I'm 6'5", drive a manual transmission JT, so lots of left leg movement. I have had them for almost 2 years, and they make a huge difference for long drives. It's actually comfortabe to drive now.

Before them, I would have to stop every hour just to stretch and loosen up. I immediately notice when I drive my wife's JLU without them, as the seat just feels flat.

got them for the drivers side. I'm 6'1. Also added a dead pedal. For longer journeys it makes it 100x better.

Otherwise the seat doesnt go back enough and isnt tilted up at the end so your legs kind of float down, and there's no where to put your left foot if its auto.

Both solve both problems.

I have the jackers + seat slam. Does it make a difference? Sure, but not enough to greatly improve those 5-hour drives. These seats are just mediocre

Bought the Shorty Seat Jackers for driver's side only to see what all the hype was about first. Love 'em. Wife immediately noticed the improvement when it was her turn to drive during a road trip from Illinois to Colorado.

If you're the only driver, and you don't care how comfortable your passenger is, save the money.

I bought just the drivers side because I hated the flat bottom seat. Everywhere I looked for a solution pointed me to the desert does it seat jackers. I was skeptical so only ordered one set.

To me, the difference was night and day. Even short rides were uncomfortable prior to the seat jackers, and now several hours are not an issue.

I too added a dead pedal from QuadraTech. There was no chance of getting used to not having a left foot rest.

Put the shorty on both seats and have a dead pedal. I'm 6' 1" and do a lot of road trips. Leg fatigue is considerably less. A huge improvement. Definitely worth it!!

How long did it take to get the dead pedal? It is showing as out of stock and has been for a while.
I have a More dead pedal sitting on my Bench but I’m preferring the easier adjustability of the Quadratech unit.

My prior vehicle had seats angled back and when getting my gladiator I immediately felt like I was sliding forward, it felt unnerving. I got the seat jackers and loved them. I had them installed about 9 months and enjoyed them. About two months ago I started feeling discomfort in my legs (too much pressure on my hamstrings). I removed them and am now more comfortable and the flatter seat doesn't bother me at all. So my personal experience is that they can be helpful for some and not others and sometime preferences change.
If interested I have mine with the mole panel I've been meaning to sell.

6’2” and long femurs here. Got the regular 3/4” and like them. For the first year of ownership the seat didn’t exactly bother me, I dealt with it, but as time went on I noticed discomfort on long trips more and more. Now, more thigh support, less pressure on heels, less tension holding legs and feet in place, generally more relaxed while driving. Wish I’d got them sooner.

I haven’t done the passenger yet, might down the road. We’ll see

Just adding to my review since this got topped - I got their "MMP" molle-style panel to span between the front jackers, and it's been really useful. Mounted a fire extinguisher to the front, which was the intention from the start, and it's great. Totally secure, uses otherwise completely wasted space, don't have to waste seconds getting into a back door or tonneau or whatever in a crisis.

The unexpected thing was, I was able to use the back side of the MMP to easily mount the main body of a VHF/UHF radio in (again) otherwise wasted space. And this puts the internal speaker right under the driver seat, relatively close to the driver. I haven't found a need for an external speaker at all. (This radio has an external faceplate but the faceplate doesn't have a speaker; some do)

Hi all, I know this is an older thread, but looks like it has already been revived a couple times, so trying my question here...

I'm looking at a couple 2023 Mojaves that are new / leftover models. I imagine the seat tracks and travel are the same among the trims. I didn't feel too low (although only test driven 20 mins x2 at this point), but I felt too close to the steering wheel - like I just wanted a little more leg and arm-extension. Even if I telescope the wheel all the way forward, it feels like I'm too close to the wheel, and also feels like my knuckles are going to touch the gauge cluster. I checked the Desert Does It site, and would probably go the shorty jacker route for my height (5'11 with 5'9 wifey).

My question is, does this only keep your legs (thighs) from hanging off the front of the seat? Or does it also create a little more legroom and upper body distance from the steering wheel?

Or if the jackers are not the solution, does anyone offer just a longer track for another inch of back travel?
