Thanks. So, I assume the z automotive extension cable plugs into the cables you take out of the gateway and then the red cable plugs into the z automotive extension and then the Obd2 plugs into the red cable?
I don't personally use the Z automotive extension, but yes that's how it would work using all three.

The extensions basically extend the security gateway connections downward so you do not have to reach up to unplug the Jeep factory cables from the gateway. They stay in the gateway, once plugged into the gateway, you leave them hanging if you have the bypass in place. The bypass plugs into the cables you unplug from the extension. Then if you remove the bypass, you plug the factory cables back into the extension cables and not clear up into the hard to reach gateway connectors.
