Make sure to compare Warn Zeon 12k to apex badlands 12k winch. They are a direct competitors with exact same features.

So I've more or less decided on doing Great Sand Dunes. Still waiting on my rooftop tent to ship so I'm setting a wide window for sometime between late April and mid May.

Rooftop Tent has arrived and installed though I need to improve the install a bit. Medano Pass won't be open until mid to late may and the other camping site look to already be reserved, so I'm looking at alternative locations that might offer dispersed camping or not as full as Great Sand Dunes. @Summitdan @molevich @FitfulGoat. Very open to other suggestions at this point even if its just a single overnighter. Been itching to get out for a while now.

We’re camping for the first time this year this weekend, and we’re maybe pushing it with lower temps. We’re trying the Fruita area. Not a wheeling trip. Family camping. I was in Moab two weeks ago and it was perfect. I know it’s further, but it’s totally doable for a two nighter. We could do two badge of honor trails in two days and be only 4+ hours from home. And it would be warm. :)

I wouldn’t be opposed to Moab at all. Never been before.

I'm shooting for a weekend. I could make pretty much any weekend work. If pushed into May the only one I can't do is the weekend of the 14th.
I think my soonest availability will likely be the weekend of 4/30 but I could do that weekend and almost any weekend in May outside of the 21st and 22nd.

I can’t do 4/30 as I’ll already be doing the Arch Canyon jamboree that weekend. Other than that, I just need a weekend my wife is fine with either doing as a family, or having the kids if just me. I’ll start fishing. :)

I’m in for a weekend in May. My wife is checking schedules for conflicts. Camp Thursday and Friday, trails Friday and Saturday, or camp Fri and sat with trails sat and sun? I can usually do either. If it’s hot, I know some great camping spots in the la salles which will be cooler. If cool, I know some good spots lower down.

How do you feel about the weekend of Friday, May 13th? That weekend might work well for me. I’m hoping it does for you guys. I can either get there Thursday or Friday night. I can leave as late as Sunday night, so reasonably flexible.

They should work for me as well.
Nice. I’ll have our RTT trailer, so we’ll be able to use it to keep our campsite reserved while we’re on the trails.

@Offroadnewbie, does that weekend work? It was the only one I could pull off in May, and it’s on my calendar. Should be a great time. There are some great options for shakedown trails that even stock rigs can handle. I’m looking forward to it. I may go regardless. I can’t turn down my wife’s signed permission slip. :)
