Hello my son has a 2022 Gladiator Mojave. He is having an issue with it going into neutral when in 4hi. I haven't seen it myself yet he is a few hours away.
He says the shifter moves sideways into neutral, not in-between 2/4hi. It has happened everytime he has tried to use 4hi, sometimes he can get it back in and it stays, normally it pops back again.
He brought it to the dealership on Friday, probably not the best day but they claim they adjusted the "shifting belt"? He left and tried it again and nothing had changed so he went back. They told him the techs had left for the day and would order a new belt and call when it comes in.
This sounds to me like a blinker fluid, muffler belt, situation.
I don't know about Jeeps, especially new ones is there such a thing as a shifting belt or should I go in and slap the piss out of everyone in the dealership?
