Just got a 2025 Gladiator Sport S with 6k miles and installed a Teraflex 1.5'' level kit with 33' Falken Wildpeaks. I want to keeping the factory suspension and was wondering if I should change the factory shocks to something better. There's nothing wrong with them right now but I was looking at the Falcon mono's. Didn't know if they were worth the money or not. Or maybe going with Rubicon factory shocks. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would be careful about those rubicon shocks, may end up to soft. What options you have the sport s? Also the falcon shocks are top of the line and not much that exist that are better IMHO. I would choose them over the rubicons. Check your springs and think how will you use your JT

Skip the factory Rubicon shocks. They are crap. If you can find a deal on used Mojave 2.5" shocks they are amazing! They completely transformed my Jeep. They aren't a direct bolt on but they really aren't too difficult. I never weighed them but I bet one Mojave shock weighs the same as 3 of the Rubicon shocks.

Would the Falcon's make it ride stiffer than the factory?

If you want a more controlled / firmer / planted ride then an intermediate option is the Bilstein 5100, but you will feel more of the little bumps compared to the stock shocks.

One week of mild offroading wore out the stock shocks.

Thanks for the advise. I went ahead and bought the Falcon mono's with the steering stabilizer.

Best shock for the $$$ especially with a slight lift are Bilstien 5100’s. They are designed with an extra length to increase suspension travel. Not by much but every bit helps.

I thought about those but after all the reviews I read on Falcon's I decided to go that route.

A lot of this depends on use. I had a 1.5" leveling kit running 34" Wildpeaks on a '22 Overland with the stock shocks and it gave me the same on-road factory ride I had before the change which was very comfortable And the extra hight and cut proof tires I wanted for my desert trails.

The setup was very cost effective and worked fine for light off-road use but was pretty jerky on washboard and bumpy roads, outright uncomfortable for my wife. My new '26 Mojave X on Factory 33" Wildpeaks has a great on-road ride but the Fox shocks allow for a MUCH better off-road performance that allows me to eat up trails at much higher speeds than the old Gladiator. Wife said it feels like someone ironed out the trails we like to go on.

The best way to do this is try your setup on the roads and trails you'll most likely be using and then make decisions based on YOUR needs.

After install I've noticed the Falcon's gave it and extra 1/4'' height. They are a noticeable difference from the stock S's. I'm happy with the upgrade.
