No weight distribution hitch. Was advised no need for one as trailer dry weight was only 1735 lb. I do run a lock n roll hitch however.
When you said bouncy with the trailer, made me think you could use one. Need is more based on tongue weight, than total trailer weight.
If your porpoising like a whale over bumps in the road, then the WDH will help.

I wouldn’t necessarily say the trailer is porpoising. Definitely no trailer sway. I really didn’t notice it until I swapped out the standard AEV springs for the High Capacity AEV springs. The tongue weight is reported to be 313 lb. I thought the rule of thumb for needing a weight distribution hitch was when the tongue weight exceeded 50% of the vehicle’s cargo capacity or when the trailer weight was more than half of the tow vehicle’s weight?
