No shame in bringing it to a shop to install. As mentioned not everyone has the space or time to do an install, also they may have physical limitations.

I do a lot of work on my vehicles at home when I get time, but I know my limitations also. I've actually a scheduled appointment for the AEV kit and geo brackets to get installed in two weeks, it's at an approved AEV shop so it includes warranty also.

K but that’s not what you said. You said people who do this don’t have lives or responsibility.
Just attempting to provide some context. When I actually get a day off and don’t have to work on the house (my last two “leave” days were spent doing home repairs), I’m not going to waste it wrenching on a vehicle unless I absolutely have to.

I would do it myself just so I know it is done right. I would be surprised if a shop would install that for 2-3 hours, I would estimate double that.
100% agree with you!

So much better to do yourself. It’s one of the reasons I have owned Jeeps over the years. Also hard to imagine that people have cash to pay someone to do the work when that money could be put to better use. The whole “ my time is way more valuable” is bullshit as far as I am concerned.
Can’t agree with you more. You “make the time.” And the feeling of accomplishment when you are done is priceless. I just recently went through the process of installing my own auxiliary switch panel followed by cube lights and light bar install. Ten years ago I would have been intimidated but now with all the online resources and videos out there not to mention the help of this forum it’s a no brainer to tackle these things myself. I did my first lift 4 years ago simply because I was tired of subpar work being done on previous Jeeps. Now it has become a hobby for me doing my own mods. Not to mention the money you save doing it yourself.

My limit line is that I can't weld or cut. Coilovers would be a pro shop install for me. But "bolt-on's" I can do that.
