Should I wait?

So my lift is installed and my gearing is done (5.13) but my tires and wheels are not here yet.

My tires, MT Baja Bass ATs have been backordered for the past 6 weeks and it could be another 6 weeks before they are here.

Not sure if I can wait any longer. I was thinking that these tires will last me a while so I should go with something that I would be happy with which is why I wanted to wait but after getting the above work done, I am not sure anymore.

So if I elect to changes tires, any recommendation? It seems as if KO2 is the most popular but there is also the Nitto Grappler which are super heavy compared to others. I would like a well rounded tires, Off-road, on road, snow, wet, etc.

IMO… if you can hold out the mickeys are amazing tires… I’ve had ko2’s and they are not bad but after having a sidewall sliced in a simple trail, I wouldn’t do them again. Great tire though. I’ve have owned numerous sizes of nitto ridge grapplers and really loved them, but always found some slippages in wet and snowy conditions… but still super capable and took a beating… I’ve only gotten my mickeys on since December … they been the best tire I’ve ever had so far. They grip, hardly lose traction in any type of weather that’s been thrown at it. I travel from northern Colorado to western North Dakota and have been in temps of wind chills to -53° on trips. Snow and ice everywhere, never had a traction issue.

There are full m/t with really decent street manners and wear . But if I had to chose a safe tire, the Baja boss A/t checks all boxes . It is also fairly heavy too. Since it's not an option tho , the Nitto Ridge grappler is a solid choice . I really liked them when I was running them . There is also the maxxis RAZR A/T which is severe snow rated like the Baja boss. I have not ran the RAZR AT but have ran the RAZR MT . Those were pretty great also . Had 37 stt pros too super happy with those .

Setting up or 22 gladiator with Ko2's. They run small, which is well noted on this forum. 37x12.50 is actually 36x12 mounted and aired up, not on the jeep. We ran them on my wifes 16jku the whole time we had it. Its her daily here in west Michigan. Ko2's do fantastic in the winter, and great in sand. We dont get into mud very often, deffinately not a mud terrain but they do clean out well, if needed. Also the last set on the jku we got 60k miles out of. I do rotate them every 5k miles, which for sure helps wear.

I just ordered a set of Toyo 35x11.5 for the 17x7.5 stock wheels for my new Gladiator. RC 2 inch lift too. Any thoughts about the tire selection? And now that I no longer have my Scrambler, I guess I need to change my pix. LOL

I put the 35 x 11.5 Ridge Grapplers on my Willys yesterday (Already had the 2" lift installed). Put a couple of hundred highway miles on it today and love the tires and wheel combination. They are quite and ride really well. Very little pooch. I am still running the stock gearing and I didn't notice much difference. Still goes into 8th gear on level and down hill grades unless you have a head wind, but that was the same type situation with my factory mudders. I will say that there is more wind resistance with the tires and lift so my mileage was down from 18-19 to 17 on the highway. (I could get it to do better but that was running 75 mph on the interstate)
