35’s fit and do not rub (off road full flex with sway bars disconnected will likely rub especially without the wider max tow fenders) with no lift, no wheels spacers, but you will have to remove the air dams. I did eventually install a 2” leveling chop (actually 1.5” above stock ride height since you have to remove the stock coil spacer) which you can get for <$100 and install yourself. I had a tire shop do it for $150 including an alignment. Here are some pics with my rig without the 2” spacers.
After running the rubicon AT 33’s for about 15,000 miles, today I had my local tire shop swap my 35x12.50s bfg MTs off the stock sport alloys onto the rubicon wheels, and install rubicon front coils with the 1.5” spacer that I’ve been running on max tow coils. I purchased a 0.75 spacer to put on the rear max tow coils but diggin’ the stance and ride without them. Although the fenders are an inch taller (above the tires) in the front, the bed line is perfectly level with the hood line. Drives great around town and on the highway. Alignment master Frank at Bruce’s tire said that the taller (yet more flexy) rubicon coils, even with the 1.5” spacers, actually improved the camber and provided more adjustment than the max tow coils did with the spacers. I think the rubicon front coils gave me a full inch in the front and just the fox shocks gave me close to a half inch in the front and rear. From stock max tow I think im about 3.0” taller in the front and 0.5 in the rear which in Cali, we call perfectly level!
Hey man I love your set up I just ordered a Mojave and I am thinking about running the exact wheel tire, combo. What are your thoughts on the drive on road with the nittos vs stock
17" black rhino shredders, wrapped in a 35" Nitto Ridge grappler. On stock suspension for now.
Hey there, I’m about to put 35s on my gladiator too. I’m curious, how wide are the tires you have? Maybe it’s just the pic, but they look a tad narrower than the 35x12.5 tires I normally see. I think I’d like to go a littler smaller than the 12.5, but trying to get an idea for comparison.35’s fit and do not rub (off road full flex with sway bars disconnected will likely rub especially without the wider max tow fenders) with no lift, no wheels spacers, but you will have to remove the air dams. They are bfg MT KO2s 35x12.50s but mounted on the stock sport 17x7.5” wide wheel. Most run them on a 9” or wider wheel which makes a big difference visually. I run a set of 285x70xr17 on my FJ which are a 34x11.50 also on stock wheels.Hey there, I’m about to put 35s on my gladiator too. I’m curious, how wide are the tires you have? Thanks!
I have 5 in my garage lol make me an offer. They are mint and super light weight. What tire size? Lift? More pics?
Here they are again mounted on some rubicon wheels and now with rubicon shocks coils (upfront) and 1.5” front and 3/4” rear spacers.Hey there, I’m about to put 35s on my gladiator too. Thanks man, all i can really say is it feels a bit slower overall. But then again you don't really get a jeep to go fast. Given the option to do it all over again I'd run it back but that's just me. I know a lot of guys that regret getting 35s instead of 37s.Hey man I love your set up I just ordered a Mojave and I am thinking about running the exact wheel tire, combo.
