For the last week or so I’ve been chasing down a rattle. Turns out it was coming from my drivers side mirror. Annoying AF with the window down. A couple of finger taps around the mirror would duplicate the rattle.
Didn’t find a post on our forum (I’m sure if I missed it someone will call me out, Ha!) but I hit up the JL forum and found THIS THREAD. Props to @Rhinebeck01 for the info!
My take was to hit two spots on the mirror (1 on top & 1 on bottom). So I took the mirror off the door, used some painters tape to tape along the seem (on both pieces), inserted the plastic trim tool to get a bit if separation (like the post instructed) and hit the inside lip with a drop of super glue.
Could tell immediately that the fix worked and an evening jaunt to my sons volleyball practice validated. So thought I would share in our forum in case anyone in the future does a search for “mirror+rattle”.
