Here are two photos of the Rock Hard angled up. One shows that at a certain angle, you can see just the top of the pinch seam, while from most angles you don't see any of it. The other photo shows how far the step tube sticks out.

PERFECT !! ! Those are just the pictures I was looking for ! Can you use the sliders as a step ? These are the "angled up" ones.....do they even make an "angled down" pair ?

They are very strong and can be used as a step; I put 1" wide Shur Tape (From Lowe's) abrasive strips on the tops. They also make angled down which puts the tube around 7" or so from the door' my angled up are 4" down from the bottom of the door. I like that spacing and also getting more door protection from careless parkers "at the mall."

I've got the RSE Rockslider powered steps. I love these things and they feel very solid to step on. I'm on 37's for the moment, and have a 3" RKS ProX lift that I'm still waiting on so they'll become a lot more appreciated once the lift is on. They're kind of pricey but they seem to be of very high quality.

I posted in the rock rail thread but I really like my rails I got from Frog Fab in Montreal (http://www.frogfab.com/).

Super beefy and factory looking! They also double as a step.

The rails aren’t on the website yet though, you’d have to email them like I did.

This is exactly the type of slider I'm looking for. Nothing on their website yet, I'll have to email. Were they similar in price to the JLU ones?

No worries!

They were bout $100.00 more ($200.00 more including installation at their shop) than their JLU sliders.

Put Go Rhino steps on mine. Still see the pinch weld but hangs low and good price.

Just installed the J1980T. It was an easy install by myself. Used the box to help support it. It was wrapped really well. Only a couple minor scratches underneath which I will paint over. Makes a big difference getting in and out with bad knees.

I like the look of these steps, just not sure how solid these are. The Mopar performance rails look like this but people have bent/scraped the sh@t out of them, they just aren't as strong as a legit 3rd party rock slider with thicker mounting points and thicker steel. 3/16'' should be good though..
Could you take pictures of how they mount? I'm guessing these attach to the three body tub mounts?

Ruough County drop steps. They are nice. But have their issues. Obviously they shouldn't make contact with the body, but the gap between the rails and the body on the passenger side is too much, compared to the drivers side. I can fit my fingers to the first knuckle in between at several places. Mostly in between the steps at the middle. Tried adjusting it by loosening the bolts and pushing it back , but it wont go back any further. The drivers side is picture perfect. Can barely fit my finger tips between it. It's a small problem most people would never notice. My dad didn't notice, but I notice it, and so it bothers me. I expect perfection. Also could have had better instructions.

No problem, here's some pics I took. They mount through the three body tub the as well as through the pinch seams. The thickness is 3/16 (see last pic). I haven't had a chance to test them on the trails yet (hopefully this weekend), but the local JKU guy who recommended them to me has run them without issue. Hope the pics help!
