Reviews for the most part are good on the steps at this site but the few negative reviews seem to involve rust. No rust on yours?
Not so far and I installed them before winter was over here in Vermont where the salt and brine usage is off the charts. I do wash the undercarriage religiously though.

It’s funny you mention the possibility of damaging them. I bent the second bracket on the driver side during a ride a couple of weeks ago. Stood on the running board and straightened it out but the bracket is toast!
Would it have happened with OEM's?

Oh yeah, I was humbled by a severe case of break over. Got through it though with a little help from my friends and their impromptu rock ramp and a full send! Truth be told I’m lucky it was only that one bracket.

Love your collections! Especially the black and white one as I am fond of that color combo (or lack there of).
But it still pisses me off that I can’t find a picture of my first Jeep. I know it is somewhere in this house but I still can’t find it!

If I had to choose one it would be the CJ5. Soft top and doors standard, AM radio and no back seat. Had a lot of fun in that one. Of course I was in my 20’s way back then.

I like it as well as my first was a 74 CJ5 with the 304 V8. Welcome to the forum and as long as we are helping you spend money, I can’t recommend the Rock Slide Engineering power steps enough! I need them due to multiple back surgeries and they make getting in and out effortless. When I got my second JT, the first thing the wife said was, “when are you putting those steps on?”

I'm Trading in my miata for the Gladiator as a result of hip replacement surgery a couple months ago. It’s not easy growing old.

I found my Mopar side steps on FB MARKETPLACE for a smoking deal. So no instructions, but plenty of info online plus YouTube. Installed myself with help from partner, easy breezy. Love them. I'm a longtime Jeep lover, 1st time Jeep owner, so am smitten with the little Jeep Easter eggs hidden everywhere! The Mopar steps have Jeep silhouettes. I painted mine red to match my Firecracker Red...LOL

I picked up a set of the Mopar plastic side steps a few weeks ago for $100 off of FB Marketplace. Locally there were a few sets to select from. I used the plastic rails to replace the Rubi rails. So far I am happy with them.

I’m picking up my 2023 gladiator leftover later today. I’m thinking about getting the Mopar side steps. Has anyone added these and is the installation as easy as it looks?

These came pre-installed on my 2020 JT Gladiator Overland (purchased new). 83k miles later they still look great. No fading or noticeable wear. The material they are made out of is durable. Note: These are side steps, not rock sliders. I have done some mild 4x4 off roading and beach driving but no rock sliding. We had these dealer installed when we ordered my wife's 2021 Sahara as well.

The OEM side steps are simple to install. As you have probably figured out. I swapped Rubicon rails for side steps in a parking lot in short time.... hot pavement. A good choice for me, road grime is kept off not a good choice for off-roading though.

Although I do prefer an actual "side side" over a rock rail or even drop steps, I got rid of those same OEM Mopar ones for the Go Rhino RB20s in bed liner coating. Love them. Much better option in my opinion.
