I don't take it down. I take it off and leave it at home where it belongs.

I topped her off at 97MPH one day. I will not do this again as the cheap plastic pieces around the rear view mirror started to flex and become misshapen. It was a blast though:rock:. I have decided that 60MPH is my new top speed with the windshield off.

Oh and if your a copper the answer is 55MPH:stop: 55 Mph is the speed that I was traveling officer sir. Your thing-a-ma-do must be broken.
Do you wear regular sun glasses for the wind? When I had a bike, my eyes would start watering when I got above 25 or so lol.

I have a set of prescription safety glasses with a detachable foam insert. I would think that they are the same as riding glasses. They real fancy like with them transitioning lenses and what nots. I had the same problem until I got them.

Yes, ACC stops completely, holds for two seconds, beeps and tells you to take over, then releases the brakes. I'm going to test it one day to see if it will actually then hit something if you don't take over. Once traffic is moving, you can release the brake and hit "resume" to have it take over again.

I've also had the emergency braking engage once, a truck turned left in front of me and I barely missed it. Good job, Jeep.
I experienced both. I love both! My wife hates both!!! And more you use both, more it’s useful. By adding your personal touch with the accelerator and the brakes, you can get the perfect combination. For example, on the highway you can use the flasher and/or the gas to pass a car who is already out in an exit but that is still detected as an obstacle. It will then resume to the set speed without pressing any button.

But I didn’t push the test to the limit as I decided to take the control in each situation. For the ACC, after full stop and warning, it really releases the break and I don’t want to see if it will break again or not! My JTRLE is just one year old!!!

Yup. I read that it will actually slow all the way to a stop and hold it there for 2 seconds or something. Have yet to test that out.
I use it all the time. I do have the distance set to maximum. It follows the other traffic, slows down on the fly-over, and will follow traffic to the top of the off ramp and come to a stop. I do have to watch it when traffic is light and there's no one in front to set the pace.

I'll test it with something soft, like a Wrangler's spare tire or something.
Last week, my brother got $$$ of damages to his RAM pickup front bumper who met a Wrangler rear bumper... the frame fixed tow hooks are not that soft!!! He was almost jealous of my JT’s steel bumpers...

Yeah, I hate to sound like a brand loyalist guy, but recently wheeling with some 4Runners, we had to be SO careful not to destroy their plastic bumper covers. I used my bumpers as rock ramps.

The tailgate... it’s really easier and faster to open the tailgate to put something in the bed of a Jeep Gladiator than opening the gate and the window in the back of a Jeep Wrangler. And you can slide items without scratching the bumper...

The back seats Molle setup... My first item was the included mini Jeep toolkit, but now it’s almost full of pouches and bags!!!

The dual zone temperature control. And the air vents for the back row of seats. It was really missing in the JK...
