Hi. My Mojave is in D1 status and I’m doing a lot of daydreaming. :)

I’ve looked through this sub forum and I see a bunch of complex sport bars, roll bars, bed racks, and headache racks. What I guess I haven’t noticed, is a simple sport bar that works with a tonneau? Specifily, a hard tri-fold.

Something that looks like the Scrambler style. Single round tube that matches the back of the cab, with 45 degree back slant tubes.

Does such a thing exist? Have I missed it?

Simply put, no that doesn't exist.

There are some one off customs floating around. There are "in progress" sport bars.
As of yet none of them appear to work with a tri-fold hard tonneau.

Paging @Black Horse Rob

Ive got a Black Horse roll bar on my Willy`s and I use a tri-fold tonneau with it.

Ive had it on for about 6 months now and im really happy with it.
Im actually currently in the process of doing some mods to it, adding a hi-lift mount
and GMRS antenna.

Hi Shasta,

Funny you paged me today. I was talking about you just this past Saturday while on a road trip, though i confess i had forgotten your name. I would love to see some pictures after you've done your mods! Some of the pictures on this website have been found their way on to desktop backgrounds in our offices!

@GoGreenSpartan

The RB09BK would be compatible with a tri-fold(hard or soft). it's not quite as simple as the design you pictured, but it's close. The side plate is a piece of plexi and can be removed. we've also seen people get creative with them and have them wrapped or painted to match their vehicle color scheme. the plate itself isn't structural and can be removed entirely if you're looking for a more simple look.

i don't know what the forum rules are, so forgive me for not adding a link to the product page on our website. of course, feel free to ask me any questions you might have and i'd be happy to help(even if you don't go with our product).

Thank you for the reply. It is good to know that the side plate is not required. I did see that it can be plain also.

Good morning,

Our brackets aren't designed to work with that specific cover, though I know it can be done with some modification. Someone sent us a picture of that exact setup about a year ago. Unfortunately, I am not sure what kind of modifications are needed.

Thx. I've been eyeing your bar for quite some time. I want the bar, but I needed the cover.

I have the same tonneau cover and have been looking for sports bar options as well. The Black Horse Atlas and Classic Sports bars look like the easiest mod to get working.

A forum member Mark showed off nice customization of his tonneau cover with the Maxiums-3 roll bars: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...stom-spare-tire-mount-baja-style.43340/page-2

He had to cut the mounting rails but it sure looks good with the roll bars.
