So, why the different grille between Wrangler and Gladiator?

That's weird, my old 2021 two door had a stock grill. I bought a black grill off of market place that was for a gladly and rilled holes on that one for 3/4” lights. I decides to buy another grill off a jlu and installed the inserts out of the gladly grill with just a slight modification. Not sure how that worked if there different thickness

That is very strange, my grille slots are at least 1" wider. #jeepthings

My slots are wider than my wife's JL. Found out the hard way ordering Amazon junk that stated it would fit JL and JT and they fit my wife's grille fine but are quite a bit too small for mine.

Does your wife have a Rubicon/Sahara by chance? The grilles for those are different than the sport/willys. They're a 3 piece grille with extra space for the gunmetal/silver trim for the headlights and 7 slots.

Nope, she has a 2 door Willys sport 2.0. I have a gladiator Willys sport. Both 2021.

Guess they are different size slots then. I can't tell with just the eye test so I'd have tried the same swap.
