soft top folding question

Not sure if this is the right place, but does anybody have a issue where the passenger soft top doesn't fold back as flat as the drivers side? My gas strut popped off when I was folding the top back down and I snapped it back on but it seems like the soft top sets about 3" taller now on the passenger side then the drivers side when I fold it back.. Once folded back, the drivers side you can compress it easily to wrap the velcro around it, but the passenger side barely moves. I can't see anything bent or out of alignment or anything. Its not really noticeable, except for me as I know its different now.

have not had this happen but sounds like that strut may have gone bad somehow and that what caused it to pop off to begin with, warranty. Or looks like you can order one for ~$20
