Just installed the Mopar soft top and have a couple of questions, one for anyone with a soft top and one for anyone who’s installed one.

1) The rear window supposedly can be rolled up. Has anyone done it? What has been the experience with that given the ribs in the sides?

2) The kit came with 10 T50 bolts but only used 8. The instructions only called for 8, but the BOM in the instructions stated that there are 10. Am I missing something? Used 6 for the rear rail and 2 to hold the top to the top rail.

Thanks!

I didn’t seem to get the straps to roll it up with my second hand soft top. I got a window bag and just take it fully out and store it in the bag in the bed

Have had premium soft top since I bought it on Aug 2019. Never rolled up back window. IMO just makes it easier to not fit back in.

Dual top and never rolled the rear window. I take no chances on scratching the plastic window. I have the window bag and hang it up in my garage or keep in the bed nice and flat.

Never tried rolling it up either, and yes that plastic is very prone to scratching and indents.

I picked sup some of those straps from Amazon that allow you to roll up the rear… haven’t done it… I keep my window in a JL soft top bag

Yup don’t roll it up. There was a few posts on Facebook from the straps scratching the plastic on the first go around. Slide it out if you want it out.

Screws 6 back 4 top

the flimsy straps that came with mine don’t really work unless it is slid out and then put through straps.

Same here on not rolling - tried once but the rigid sides made me think I was going to damage the window i I force rolled it. Get the window bag you can make it fit behind the back seats when not in use.

I have the back window rolled up and stored in the back seat so I can put it back on if I hit rain. Rolled up hamburger not hotdog style haha, so far no damage.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "hamburger, not hot dog"?

For sure, I just mean rolling it up from left to right, as opposed to from top to bottom. Doing it that way, I didn't have to roll it up as tight to and still get it small enough to just fit under the seat.

I assume the top “rod” isn’t affected?
