Kind of a proud dad moment. My son (he's 21 years old) decided it was time to move away from his clean 2003 s10 crew cab with 75K miles which he's had to fix a few mechanical issues as of late and into a bigger truck that suits his needs. Before that we had bought him a ZR2 blazer as his first vehicle prior to the ZR5 s10 crew cab.

Funny how his criteria was it had to be red and had to be a long bed. We have been looking for a month and all of sudden our local dealer got this one on trade last week. What's the chance they get one on the lot that matches what he wants? Maybe I need to play the lotto :)

He did the credit app on his own and negotiated the price with the salesman on his own (although it helps when you dating the salesman's daughter). HAHHAHAHA

He picks it up Monday. Got a great price and very good loan rate (6%) for a young kid.

2016 GMC Canyon Crew cab long bed Z71 (or GMC's version is called All Terrain). Body is 100% mint. Now for the fun part of selling the s10 and adding accessories to the Canyon.

Nice Truck!! I had a 2016 Canyon SLT for 8 years. Traded it in for the 24 JT.
It was a really nice truck and I never had any problems with it.
Good Luck and have fun with it!!
Accessories? Console Vault, Homelink buttons in the upper console….

I had a 2017 and loved it, but it’s a completely different 3.6l and goes to the 8 speed auto. They’re considerably faster. 1.5 sec faster 0-60. It handled great and was very quick. It was surprisingly fun on mtn roads after I wore out the stock Goodyears and put a continental all terrain on it. Sometimes I regret ever selling it. I miss the power and handling.

Those ZR2 Blazers are awesome. I always wanted one. I had to buy my own cars so I had a 2wd 200k mile S10 Blazer. lol.

My son wasn’t happy when I made him save up to buy his first vehicle. Then a short time after he got it, he rolled it out in the desert. (Everyone was fine). Then I told him that’s why he bought his own. He kept the second one shiny side up
Amazing how that works……. Great job for instilling a learning lesson he’ll never forget. 😉
