There are options abounds. I currently have a slide from Tempo Tusk. I want to add an additional slide out to the inside of the existing system.

The following product would work.
https://tembotusk.com/collections/f...diy-slide-tracks-rails?variant=39709357965379

However, I can't imagine paying 500 bucks for a set of slides! Thats nuts. Although I know the quality is there. Amazon has several options. Here are 2 examples.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08C54LR4T/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=A19GISTSKJPRP&th=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PF3G2YM/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=A38FKCG68YKV8R&th=1

What I can't seem to figure out is the amount of space internal of the slide mechanism where a bolt/nut head will have to sit to secure it to the main base and to the portion being slid out. Here is a zoomed in photo of the area in question that I can't seem to find out about.

Now compare those obnoxiously large photos with this, which is a different slide I purchased and wasted money on after realizing it won't work for me. You should be able to see the difference in design and spacing. This other slide is held together by rivets which require much less space than the bolts/nuts of the Tembo Tusk slides.

I do not want to use rivets, so will need the extra space for bolt head or lock nut - which reminds me, the nuts Tembo uses are distinctly thinner than any lock nut I have seen at my local hardware store - again no caliper so I can't measure them to order.

I believe Tembo Tusk uses Accurride slides but I haven't found any numbers to specify which one exactly. And the differences in slides are minuscule - my micrometers and calipers are 10 hours away so measuring isn't going to be a thing right now.

Anyone happen to know offhand? I could go with Tembo - they have good customer service, that's just a heafty price to eat.

Ok so I might have found what I'm looking for.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MZS4RB...d_r=0b78d53f-d9bd-44fe-9bd3-9ab54e568a00&th=1

Here is a screenshot - if the drawing is anything legit pay attention to the are the slide would mount to a drawer and a base

Now compare that with the cross section and mounting of this slide.

You should be able to notice a pretty distinct difference. But does anyone have actual experience with either of these to speak on them?? $120 sure is a lot cheaper than $500 if I have to source from the original sales company...

e Vevor sliders on my r
Awesome news!

But I was looking at theirs, but they didn't have the right size (28" for slide without locking handle) and according to the drawings I saw, the interior slide portion did not show to have enough clearance for a bolt/nut. That could be wrong though, that's really what I'm trying to find out with this post, how much room for nut/bolt head these amazon slides offer. The slides that came with the other camp kitchen one I posted in post 1 only have enough room for a rivet. Which isn't going to work....

I'm not sure on the measurement. I can try to get that later, but I do have it bolted/nutted vs riveted, so there's at least enough room for the hardware I'm using.

And they have enough clearance on the inside of the slide to use a nut/bolt combo to secure them? I was looking at that one earlier but its 2” short. Also a lot cheaper too

I dont suppose theres any metal fabricators here willing to help with a simple project.....

I have the Tembo Tusk fridge slide pictured below
Jeep Gladiator Sourcing drawer slides IMG_9972.JPG

I am working on rearranging things and need more height from the fridge. Flipping the base over gives me only about 3/4" extra height. So I have looked for some 2" by 5" aluminum L brackets that span the length of the slide, 28", that then could have a slab of plywood placed bolted to it.

I can't seem to find any. There are a few online places I have explored, but they are for industrial use and won't do just 2 brackets at 28" long.

Another though I suppose would be some flat straight 1/8" by 5" by 28" or so alum that can be bolted to the slide, and then this Tembo Tusk base to the top of it. But again, I have not been able to source any aluminum pieces 28" in length. It seems to all be small sub 6" stuff or industrial loads of 2,000 pounds minimum. Unless I just haven't found the right source.

So - anyone interested in fabricating up something? haha - or at least have a source where this stuff can be found?

Got the drawer slides in the mail today. But what I was worried about is exactly what came true.... Good thing these were only 100 bucks instead of 400....

In this photo you can see the bolt head. Also the locknut. Well, the lock nut is too thick to fit inside the slide and let the slide close. If you scroll up and look at the nuts in the Tembo tusk kit in post #1 You'll notice the nuts there are probably half the size of the nut below - so about the same thickness as the bolt head actually....

So, where do I go to source nuts that are thin, stainless, and still have a nylon lock? These hinges will not work otherwise.
