Was hoping I could get some of you kind people to post pics of your dual battery set up or your bed slide set up.

I’m wanting to run a 230aH battery in the bed but also need a bed slide. I thought maybe it’ll fit behind rhe wheel wells but it’s hard to tell with bed slide companies how far off the wells they sit.

My battery sits in the space aft of the starboard wheel well beside the slide out in a custom frame I built. It previously sat in a Renogy box that sucked. I’ve found that with a solar panel 100AH is plenty to run a fridge and lights indefinitely. Some people will debate this, but the battery is really a buffer for a well designed solar power system. A longer battery could fit in the space, but not much wider. The battery will not fall out of the mount i made. Its solid and its bolted into the bed

As for the slide out, I’m limited on vertical space and I wanted something more practical than a big storage drawer. I wanted extra work surface than the tailgate. So I made a low profile slide out with minimal interior storage. The other side is recovery gear and the fridge on its own custom slider base. A chainsaw scabbard is mounted to the divider wall on the other side. I can fit multiple WolfPacks with the tall lids on top of the slide out.

this is fantastic. Will give these links a thorough review!

one thing I failed to mention that really throws a cork in this is my fridge is 75z and I am not super tall. I need the drop slide for it with total dimensions 31.7x27.8. Not ideal but a must have.

Yeah, that’s a huge fridge. I’m running a 63qt ARB which is one of the only ones that fits under a tonneau cover. It’s huge to me. Because my fridge “slider” is only secured once the fridge is in, I can actually tilt it down on the lip of the tailgate. The compressor’s weight is at the back so it’s actually pretty well balanced. I can leave the fridge with half of it just sitting off the tailgate. Those drop slides that come out enough to clear a tailgate are beasts. I would be tempted to just buy a folding stool instead. I’m the only one who can easily peer into my fridge because of the height so I carry a little stool for everyone else. I also do all the cooking, so there’s that.

I also didn’t want a traditional mounted fridge slide because I wanted to be able to pull stuff out of the bed that’s behind the fridge and the slide frame would be in the way. My fridge just has a sheet of slick HDPE mounted on the bottom that slides easily on the bed liner. It’s got a groove that slides into a receptacle on the slide out next to it and a locking pin holds the front. The fridge can just be pulled out all the way to get to my recovery gear. I think the whole thing cost $50 to make and the fridge doesn’t move once the pin lock is down.

The wall is shock mounted and secured with knobs. So between that, the fridge slide and pulling my recovery bag out I can recover 90% (just the 4 inch height of the big slide out remains) of my bed space back to do regular truck stuff in about 5 minutes. I use the big slide out for shopping all the time, it’s very heavy and removing it is more involved so it stays in the bed.

Yep we have the stool game going on. I just want easier access for loading unloading fridge. Lifting this thing (my truck is lifted on 3”/35” wheels) is a hassle when it’s empty. When it’s full, forget it. That’s like deadlifting 130lbs from a height I can barely reach lol.
