There's a ton of research that's gone into spark plugs I've seen everything from flat ends to rounded electrodes to wire electrodes and more.
Electric charges peak at sharp edges, not rounded or flat surfaces. thus the shape of the electrodes. Iridium is also very resistant to wear - the erosion from the spark itself. It's said iin a typical modern engine iridium can handle 100,000-120,000 miles.
That may be so - but I doubt I'll be going that far with mine. Likely more like 80,000 miles. Over the course of the lift of the vehicle - you lose more than you gain by pushing the limits on spark plugs.
This guy agrees with you….

Don’t put stock in what he says, call any legit mopar mechanic, don’t take my word but the mechanics and I assure you he will laugh at autolite
Yeah, right. Why, because it's autolite? Good enough for top fuel, NASCAR, whatever, but not MOPAR LOL, right.
These are the same mechanics that say that loud ticking sound is normal, don't sweat that sound, they can't hear it, they can't figure out how to fix a faulty light.......... or that claim a winch is draining the battery even if the winch is disconnected, the same mechanic that moves a ground cable from the IBS over to the fender - which is connected to the IBS via a smaller cable.
Those mechanics?
Frankly, I'll put myself up against most of them.

Mic drop crap, pretty sure of yourself. As per the same rules with any other part, MOPAR can't say you must use their parts. If another plug matches - or in some cases, BEATS, the qualities of the originals, maybe you haven't followed - hooked on your old-fashioned Obama mic drop celebratory move.

Those engines punish spark plugs more than mother mopar could ever dream of.
Now you are just trolling.
These are low compression, low RPM, low temperature compared to REAL engines.

Not political, just stating who made it famous after the 1980s. I'm not passing judgement on him as a man or president. Just passing along that it became popular after he did it on SNL.

Awfully hard to debate logically with a troll who keeps repeating "use only OEM" and has nothing to back it up but youtube experts.
Yes, good night.

I guess people can decide:
Buy based on "because I said use only OEM plugs end of story" like you say
or
.........................

I do like the point of no Jeeps in NASCAR, though - some parts are just too good for these engines.

I do not need to hire a statistician to know that sticking to OEM parts has a better balance of probability of being less failure prone over aftermarket.

That being said, when I changed the spark plugs on my 2020 Gladiator, I used Autolites also with no issue but I knew and assumed that risk going into it.

Just thinking about changing spark plugs on one of these Upgraded Pentastar engines is enough to tire me out. I know that there are many good aftermarket spark plugs available. I will say also that there are some plugs that just aren't that good. I'm thinking about some "Tri-sparks" (three ground electrodes) that I tried out on a first Gen 392 Hemi over forty years ago. They didn't run any better than the standard plugs available back then did. I also remember a racer running a '62 Dodge Dart with the 413 Ramcharger engine who switched from Champions to NGK plugs and dropped his et substantially.

So my opinion on spark plugs is use what works for you. I have never had a problem with OE plugs on any Chrysler products that I have owned, but I have seen defective OE plugs in these Upgraded Pentastar engines in the past year.
