Being 1 or 2 mph off is aok... Sure to get it right on the money is aok but reality is tire inflation (psi) that varies dependent on what you set psi to, varying psi due to outside temperatures, tire wear and other variables always have speedo a tad in limbo so to speak.

IF you are seeing a 1+ -1 mph difference... no big deal..
Close enough for me.

Almost, I use toothpaste to measure the tire circumference not proper tire inflation. I suppose chalk will leave enough of a mark on the ground.
Chalk would pull double duty for you...get you the optimal PSI, and yes, leave the mark on the ground if you wanted to measure diameter. Never heard of using toothpaste, but tomato potato! :fist bump:
