I think its the way the camo/trash bags are sewn. I think the handles are even but the front seem is above the handle and rear is below. At least I hope the handles are even.

Yeah I have looked at it over and over and I can see how that could be the case.

They could do a JLish type light that mounts between the cab and bed too. I would rather see a tailgate version though then that.

Unless it was raised up to at least the middle of the rear window, I doubt it fly as a CHMSL since it wouldn't be visible to anyone in a low vehicle directly behind the truck. Especially if lifted...
