One thing to keep in mind for anyone else considering 37s on a stock JT Sport/Overland/Whatever, is that the BFG KO 37 only measures in at 34.75”. Not all 37s will fit.

One thing to keep in mind for anyone else considering 37s on a stock JT Sport/Overland/Whatever, is that the BFG KO 37 only measures in at 34.75”. Not all 37s will fit.
On a 7.5” rom and now an 8.5” rim (aftermarket copy for my spare) they measured 35.5 at 36psi)

this is one read why I went with the BFG AT’s for interstate speed travel, many over 1000 miles round trip some 2000 miles round trip.

this is a good tire and a good fit.

here are pics of the spare on a Quadratec wrangler Rubicon copy with 5.2” back spacing and 17x8.5 rim width.
I tried to get 5 of these copies but they are back ordered until November.

SPARE TIRE LOCATION;
As you can see this 37 just barely fit in the spare tire location under the Jeep… but it does fit clearing everything without having to change a thing. Easy swap for 31” original spare.

the ride is sooooooo good.

just as it’s been mentioned here before, taller side wall = more wander and a softer floaty ride. I love that feel and it isn’t a problem for me

Ahh, those are KO2s, not KOs, that explains it. The KOs usually come in under 35, the KO2s a bit over.

Either way it serves as a good warning for people to make sure they know the actual size of a tire before they assume it’ll fit.

Glad that one is working out on the road.

Ok back to purpose off this post… what is with all the Max Tow hate…. Especially from a fellow TNer.

I have programmed the Tazer Mini … ?… may be obvious with that “Rubicon “ start up ????

the Tazer is awesome!! I noticed shift points are perfect and the Jeep still has plenty of pep. I highly recommend the Tazer!

Ha, that’s a cake walk for the Max Tow… 4:10 gears, 37’s, 3.5” lift, HD steering control arms and drag link, plus 8 speed automatic, and then there is the modern traction control that I can not believe how well it works. In fact I was going to add ARB lockers but haven’t needed them, or sway bar DC’s. Plus I have a lot of off road experience. I could take my Subaru outback up your driveway as well! ?

LMAO… Subaru’s are Libby huh… ? not only do I love them but so does my son-in-law’s brother. Maybe I should Ask him to fly over your driveway when he gets back… he is an Army CH-47 (Chinook) pilot, and a lover of Subaru’s. Real Libby kind-of-guy as you can tell… See last two pictures.

My family, including my extended family are all Army Vets or Active. From Generals, to pilots, to SF, and Combat Medics (like I was myself).

I’ve had a Rubicon, trust me, they are no longer “all that”. Besides it doesn’t matter what you think, and your driveway i really see no problem going up that in my AWD Subaru Outback let alone my JT.
This is what it’s about for me… and I have a Hot Wife… so there is that too. ?
