Anybody else experience this? When it's cold, damp, or raining out I get a squeeking / groaning sound from the right rear. Goes away as it warms up.

Need more info.

Stock suspension?

Any mods to the area?

Could be a spring rubbing a little on top or bottom cup, not completely seated.

Could be upper or lower control arm bushing rubbing as suspension flexes.

Could be other things that are mechanical. Brake caliper sticking a little. Then the expensive stuff, wheel bearings, differential, etc etc

Truck is bone stock except for Rubicon Take Offs.
I was even wondering if the spare was rubbing.

Get out your floor jack, put it between pumpkin and wheel on the side.

Lay down under the axle and slowly jack it up and down and see if you can make the noise and pin point it.

Odds are, spring or shock that side is making the noise.
Could just be something in a bit of a bind.

Sure it is outside and not interior? Sounds travel weird and reflect inside and where you think something is coming from is coming from the opposite side.

99% sure it's outside.

On other vehicles with squeak problems, I have stood on the suspect corner bumper and jumped/pushed up and down the suspension somewhat violently to check for squeaks and gone from there. If yours is temp related, you may need to wait for same conditions before trying.

Try smearing some silicone grease on the shock shafts. It could be dry seals. My right rear 2.0 shock was doing it, and it solved my squeak problem.

Hi SILENTJEEPERS,
We'd suggest visitng your local dealer for diagnosis, as they're in the best position to make any necessary repairs. If you need any additional assistance working alongside your dealer, feel free to send us a PM.
