If this needs to be deleted or moved so be it. After reading on here and showing the TSB (that I got from here) to the service manage… I set up an appointment that I had to wait three weeks for the replacement. I just got the call saying they have to order the nut per instructions. This is ridiculous, at least in my opinion. Figured I’d put this out for anybody else that might need it!

So I still don’t have my Jeep back! Got the call saying they are supposed to flash the computer to update it for the new gear box…. While doing this their laptop locked up and they couldn’t get back into my Jeep. They’re saying they think a module is bad and it won’t get here until Monday. Anybody else have this kind of trouble?

They installed the wrong steering box in mine (one from a jl) and flashed my software with code for a jt and called it good.

I checked the part numbers myself when it drove like schit.

I had to take it back and they realized their error.

By then parts were constrained and I had to wait 3 months for the proper gear to be available while driving it in that state.

Then they forgot to order the screws and it took 2 more weeks.

Each time no loaner cars available. Wife had to drive me home 3 times for something that should have taken one time.

Feel better yet ?

That sucks! I managed to get a loaner yesterday…. But I’m not feeling any better due to the fact that because of this forum and others I have more information than the service department! Happen to know the part number?

Well I’m back. Just got the call telling me they’re still having issues…. Now they’re saying that the trailer brake controller that I installed or the tazer is causing they’re laptop to be locked out. I tried to explain the Red Arc controller is in no way the problem. Now I don’t believe the Tazer is either but I can’t be sure! Thing is I’m 1000 miles away and can go remove the Tazer , do I have to unmarry the Tazer or just remove it?
