I had my lift tweaked to get the angles all corrected. At certain highway speeds Im getting a steering wheel shake. Its not constant, but its around 45-55. Its not a tire out of balance. What would cause that. Its not a violent shake, but definitely there

Tire balance will cause what you are describing. Where were the tires balanced. How accurate was the machine, how sensitive was the machine set, did a wheel throw a weight?

How many miles have been put on the tires? Have they been re balanced?

The first thing I would check would be tire balance. How are the ball joints, tie rod ends and track bar? What did you change on your suspension?

nothing was changed on suspension. We just adjusted the control arms to properly align pinion angle and just get everything dialed in.

Have you tried moving front wheels to back and back to front? What brand and size of tires? Have the alignment check, you changed the pinion angle, which will change the caster angle.

Were the tire and wheel balance dots aligned correctly? My experience has been most tire installers do not care. Vehicle in, slap on the new and out the door.

I had this issue after installing my 2” mopar lift with 37’s freshly installed and balanced.

Week one I hit a pothole at 45 mph and got the dreaded death wobble. Immediately ordered the Steersmarts tie rod, drag link and teraflex track bar.

installed the track bar and still had the issue. Installed the Steersmart tie rod and drag link and it was immediately corrected.

Had the tires rebalanced just to make sure and everything was perfect.

can’t say this is your issue

All I can say that it’s the best money I have ever spent on my rig thus far is steersmarts system and would recommend it to anyone having any vibration issues. The system tightened everything up so much that it seriously makes my rig feel like it is rock solid.

Did you set your control arm lengths for consideration of pinion angle, or alignment/caster? If you had an alignment, what is your caster angle? If not, at what length did you set your control arms?
