I bought a 2024 Gladiator Willys in November. It now has 10,300 miles. Today it started losing the radio when Android Auto connects to my phone. It usually brings up the map page when Android Auto connects, but the music would continue to play. Now, once it connects, everything goes silent. I think the radio station disappears from the display most of the time, but maybe not always. If I hit the channel up button behind the steering wheel, it will move to the next station and start playing.

I don't know if this is related, but I was using an iPad mini to play music in it over a wired connection this afternoon. I have done this frequently over the last couple of months, but this is the first time I have had an issue. The iPad wasn't connected the last few times it happened, and it doesn't matter if it is on FM or XM.

Have you done a power on/off restart of your phone lately? I know sometimes when either the phone or apps get updated without a restart, it can mess with the Android Auto settings and audio.

You know, I don't remember if I restarted my phone around that time. It was working normally the next day.

You're right, though. I put an Alpine Bluetooth stereo in my '01 TJ, and I usually have to restart my phone if it won't connect to the stereo.
