OBX life!Just added this one.. since I only get to the beach in the summer Salt Life doesn’t fit.. think the salty summer is fitting..
"Catch me later, I'll buy you a beer."Im just about done with my pre-summer upgrades for this year, and Ive finished it off by rounding out the theme Im going with for the truck. I replaced a lot of the red accents with chrome ones, repainted a whole bunch of stuff, and added a custom badge that I 3d printed & painted + some custom decals.
The goal for this, as silly as it may seem to some, is basically for the truck to be a cosplay.. I wanted it to be like the security patrol vehicle for Black Mesa Research Facility, from the game Half Life. The game really inspired me when I was younger, and my career in large industrial facilities that cumulated in the engineering position I hold now is definitely in part due to the influence that game had on me.
Finishing up the customization and equipment mounting on the roll bar was icing on that cake, and applying the decals to the side plates as the finishing touch was a proud moment for me.
I really like the raised old style gladiator logo.Nothing on the back of my JT is stock anymore, except paint and the 3rd brake light. Old decals are now emblems.
