Hey fella JT friends! New to the forum here. Happy to see so much information about the Gladiator! I could possibly go broke soon haha!! But on a serious note, I'm looking to install a 3.5" RC lift and wanted to use my stock 18x7.5 wheels because I really like the look of the wheel against my Gobi Overland(pics coming soon). So can I even fit 37's or would it be recommended to just go with 35's? I know sticking with stock, I will have nearly a zero offset so I was unsure what or wouldn't fit based on the stock wheels. Basically, seeing what is the largest setup I could go without any issues. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hey Sarge, I am in the boat as you and have been looking for a while now. I have not been able to find any tire bigger than a 35" that fits a 7.5" wide rim. NITTO makes a 35" that fits the 7.5 and you could opt for a 295/70r18 which is like 34.4" If anyone out there knows of a 37" tire that fits a 18 x 7.5 please share.

Fair warning, I’ve been consuming “beverages” for a “few“ hours, but I think you said you had an Overland. My initial response is, “f’ it do what you want”
the been there done that in me says, “you‘re likely going to want to regear with 37s”. Find some kick ass 33s or lighter 35s and save the $$ for other fun stuff. Now, if you don’t mind, my bourbon just asked me why lava lamps are on my prepper list.

Thank you all so much for the feedback. I am learning a ton on here for sure.
Ok so in doing even more research, I see that if you have 3.73 gears that 37's are a "no-go".
Note: I do not off-road and rarely hit 70-75 mph. Is this still an issue if I want to go 37's? And instead of downsizing, wheels, I'm liking the looks of 20's or 22's. Any pros or cons to going up?

If you don’t go that fast, don’t go off road, and live in a flat area I’ll be the one contrarian here and say you’ll be fine with 3.73s

it will feel better with more gear, but you’ll be able to drive around just fine

I had read so much about gears that I thought my truck was going to be borderline inoperable for the 3 weeks when I had 37s without new gears; it was fine. I even went wheeling once, I just had to use 4L more than normal

The gearing- if you live in flats, are ok with loosing acceleration, don’t tow, and don’t have higher highway speeds
. You can get by without re-gearing. You would be happier matching the gears to the tires- say 4.88’s but you can get by.

The bigger “issue” is the wheel and tire width. A 7.5” wheel and 12.5” wide tires are that the tire is going to “crown” and you will wear the center section out faster than the rest of the tire- even worse when you run a Patagonia that is designed to wear like a crown on the proper sized wheel.

I don’t know the specs on an 11.5” wide tire for the narrowest wheel acceptable by the manufacturer
 but a 37x11.5 “might” work.

Thanksgiving is coming- usually good deals on wheels at that time. @Northridge4x4 is usually my go to.
