I can feel and see the Drag Link socket by the Pitman Arm popping up and down when having someone move the steering back and forth. I can't definitively say I notice any issue while driving, but I am concerned this will lead to steering issues down the road, like on a long road trip I have planned in May.

The dealer will charge me a $200 diagnosis fee if they determine it doesn't require replacement under my Mopar extended warranty. So, I am debating if it is worthwhile to get it checked now in the hope, they replace it under warranty or to just wait until things get worse.

Has anybody found themselves in a similar situation even with a different component? How did it pan out for you?

this is probable that your steering dampener could be hiding the vibrations you would otherwise be feeling. sounds like its shot and tbh look at it this way. 200 bucks worse case scenario or my drag link let go at 70 mph on I95 and I can't steer.

Hmmm, it is a Falcon Nexus adjustable steering stabilizer. I think I will change it from Medium to Soft and see what happens.

FYI, even with adjusting the steering stabilizer to the Soft setting, there was no noticeable vibration or shimmy during highway driving. I made an appointment at the dealership and the service advisor called me back and said, "If there's no complaint like actual vibration or other problems, there's not a whole lot they can do. All these steering suspension components, have a certain amount of play that are considered normal. It's not until there's a problem that Chrysler [FCA] will pay for any kind of repair."

I suspected that might be the case. Anyway, I cancelled the service appointment until it is worn down enough to create some kind of issue. Either that or I will at some point opt for the RPM aluminum tie-rod and drag link install. Like most people, I have to prioritize any mods and upgrades according to how much money is in my wallet.
