Yup, I think we are gonna see some damage to these painted fenders...took a rock to the rear driver fender that I picked up in the front tire in a gravel parking lot the second week and it went through the clear protective 3M coating and actually somehow inverted a half circle (about the size of a dime) of the clear plastic inside itself so it began to fill up with dirt and water under the protective film. I had to use tweezers to pull the film out and get it flattened but it’s now been compromised.
My thoughts are these painted fenders are gonna be more pock-marked than the lieutenant’s face from Miami Vice come springtime!
Bonus! No one has brought this up, but small pieces of gravel can/will become lodged in the seams/gap of the rear fender where it meets the truck bed! I had to extract a rock by pushing down on my fender with one hand and using the same handy tweezers
Pay attention because they will cause more damage if you don’t get them out!
