Suction cup for attachment?

Has anyone ever used suction cups as attachment points for awning tarps for campers on a temporary basis. Thinking I could use a few of them to attach a tarp to my fiberglass camper as an awning .

Before I got my roof top dish I used to put my satallitte dish on the back of my motorhome with a 4 cup suction cupo holder. It was used to move glass panels I think. Got it at Harbor frieght and it held my 19" dish on the back of the camper all weekend.

This is what it was like just with 2 on each end of the handle.

I got the suction cups and they hold tight all night and longer. I'll be making my own camping awning with them and some poles and a tarp. I'll be able to use it on either side or the back. Has anyone else done this?
