Anyone have suggestions on how to make the seat bottom recline.. I've had 2 gladiators and the leather seat is very uncomfortable on a long ride. Makes my back and right hip hurt. ???

I just installed the Desert Does It seat jackers last night. I only have a couple miles on them but I like them so far. Gives more leg room and puts you in a more comfortable position. Naturally since you are raising the front instead of lowering the rear you have to get up a bit higher when you get in the truck but its not a big deal.

Desert Does It also makes seat slammers to lower the back of the seat.

Desert Does It Seat Jackers in 0.75" (I'm 5' 11" and my sons are 6' 1" and they're just right for us)--or the 1.25" version if you're really tall. You will need a torque wrench, an E12 E-Torx socket bit for the factory bolts (I found this on Amazon), and some blue Locktite--I didn't have that stuff so I ordered it from Amazon and was ready when the Seat Jackers were delivered. Installation took about 30 minutes on each side.

Per Desert Does It instructions, you'll need these items:

  • 3/8” Ratchet
  • E12 E-Torx Socket
  • 8mm socket (to go on the torque wrench)
  • Torque Wrench
  • Blue Loctite

Yes. FYI: the Slammers require cutting, which will permanently modify your seat hardware, while the Jackers do not. I'd start with the Jackers.

I did these. MASSIVE improvement in comfort.

I was having terrible hip and tailbone pain on long drives. The addition of the Slammer kit from Desert Does It, and a dead pedal, made a HUGE difference.
