I have some IN a case on the passenger side and some NOT in a case on the driver's side. Works well.

I like this idea! It would free up space in the console.

I keep mine in the top of the center console in a soft case. The case keeps them from getting scratched, and I can grab the whole case and stuff the glasses in a backpack when hiking or fishing.
