Ok gang,
I’ve read a lot of threads here on the suspension mods. Just want clarification. I have a Rubi takeoff.
I’m going to install on my Overland.
I already have the Rubi rims mounted.
Is my understanding correct that the overall height will be the same? If so,
Will the 1.5” USA alloy lift/level give it a nice taller stance? I’ll prolly only do mild trails here in PA. One day get back to Moab! But that’s far future stuff. I digress.
Bottom line... Rubi susp. with the lift
a nice set up? Oh also... the drop links and control arms not needed to be swapped? Same, yes.? Just Springs and Fox shocks swapped. Sorry to ramble. Info overload.
Let me hear your thoughts. :please:

The Rubi suspension likely won’t result in much change in height of any at all. The Rubi allows for bigger tires due to the fenders not the suspension. But the 1.5” leveling kit will help with height to add bigger tires. You should be able to fit 35s under it due to the leveling kit. What are your goals on tire size? What are your goals on off roading? I see PA, are you talking trails like Rausch Creek? Would you be looking to do blues or blacks there?

Thanks @Phljeeper. I don’t know regarding Rausch. I haven’t had a chance to visit there yet. Approaching this as a mild build and as I gain more experience , go in from there.
I was reading that 1.5” would allow a steel bumper add on. I have a winch from my F150. So that’s in the works. I would like to bump up to 35” tyres, yes.
Appreciate the feedback. I’ll do this mod for now. Just wanted to make sure I was understanding these nuances with susp. systems.
My experience had been with lowering sports cars for better handling. Going upsize is new territory for me.
Thanks Phljeeper

I can tell you that I just put 285/75/R18 on my Sport S (with Overland wheels) without a problem..
