What all is included with 'remote features?'
The cellular connection is not active, which is necessary for the wifi hotspot, and remote start from the phone app or website. Jeep doesn't allow dealers to install or activate it.

I have the AT&T Wi-Fi in my 2023 and it works great.

In addition to what @Mr._Bill said, you will not get any OTA software updates either through the Uconnect system. Uconnect will not see that radio serial and model number and the new vehicle VIN it is mated to as a "as built" configuration and support it.

That could be a good thing!

Maybe, but there has been no released consumer useable USB updates from Uconnect website that an owner can download update on their own. All updates have either been done at the dealership, OTA if yours is "as built" or in some cases, if you pay for a the Navigation update, you may get a USB stick that updates your radio software.

So anybody that does the swap to 8.4 and wants an update, they have to go a dealership that may or may not do it because it did not originally come that way. If they do update it, will be a out of pocket expense. That leaves either buying the Navigation update at full bill or if lucky, find somebody selling their used update USB on Ebay on the cheap.

FWIW, I did this swap on my 2021 Willys and ran into these issues of trying to find an update for the unit I had installed.
