Tazer Issue - 2021 Rubicon

Hey Guys,

I need some help from the brain trust. I installed a tazer mini in my 21 rubicon so I could program the new led fogs I got with my 10th anniversary rubicon steel bumper.

1) when I was installing the plugs into the unit, they fit fine but I needed to really man handle them down to get this truly connected. Is that normal?
2) after I married it, I went thru the menu and there is no lighting section. what gives?

Are you sure you’re in the right menu? There’s two different ones engine running and engine set to run. One menu has different features than the other.

The one I think I am in is the engine set to run as I dont have the engine running while I am in the menu.

Also, did you confirm you have the right model of Tazer? There is a Tazer Mini that has all the functions, and the Tazer Mini Lite that has less functions. Depending on where you bought it, you might have either bought or been sent the wrong one.

That sucks. Maybe you could go back to the seller and ask to exchange.

You can unlock the features on their site, it's the same device just need to "upgrade" the firmware on it

I ended up upgrading it and it's now showing the light functions.

What is odd, I updated the fogs to LED in the system, rebooted and i believe I went into sleep mode twice and the LED fogs still dont work.

Yeah, mine threw the ESS "not working" code. I could care less since I don't like it, but I'll unmarry and take it in to the dealer. Mine sat on lots for over three months (ordered Feb 25, delivered July 16) at Toledo and then in New Mexico awaiting transport. I suspect the ESS battery may have lost it, or it needs to be flashed. We'll see.

Go back in a see if the setting took. I had a tough time getting the passive entry updated on mine. I had to slowly follow the instructions step by step to get it to update. Once I did that, it finally stayed updated.

I own both a tazer and the jScan. The jScan I use for this kind of stuff as the interface is way better. The tazer I use for the live functions like sway kill, lockers in 2 and 4 hi etc.

I put the mini in today. Took 20 mins to get through most of it, just move slowly. I even rebooted after a few things, then did more and rebooted again, just in case of too much going on! Works good so far, wheeled a bit today.
