I have my Oracle backup lights I can turn on with the push of an aux switch - sure, not from a fob, but not a biggy either. I use them when loading up my trailer and packing up camping stuff. With passive entry, I walk up, open a door, push aux 1 and on come the backup lights in the bumper. I had thought of doing similar for the bed lights - using a diode so they could be turned on the same way.
The theft stuff - until they can make that stay in place even if the tazer is removed it's worthless. Pull tazer, steal truck.
I have the even brighter Vision X bumper lights on a switch, and they are great for loading the trailer, or just as a temp work light, but that's not how I use the fob lights. Typically it's when I am loading or unloading tools or groceries under the bed cover in the dark. I can turn on the reverse and bed lights while unlocking from the fob, and the bed lights wont time out in a few seconds. They stay on for up to 30 minutes or until I shut them off/hit the lock button. Really just makes things so much easier in the winter, I don't know why that isn't a standard feature.

I was surprised it wasn't like another truck I had where you gave the bed light a press - and turned them on. Another press - they were off.
