Tazer JL mini programming question?

I just order a tazer mini, my question is? I have been running my JT without doors for the last 6 month do I have to install the doors to do the programming. I just worry about the 2 sleep cycles after the changes.

UPDATE: I just did it and you must have at least the DRIVERS door connected, otherwise will not work. JUST FOR YOUR INFO
