So, to start, I have a general idea about how the suspension works. Just enough to be confused about how the suspension works...

I look online and see a million different components and wonder to myself, what parts are needed and when.

Who wants to explain to Austin what all the different parts do and when One might need to swap one out? Any good videos out there that explain this stuff? How do you adjust them once they're installed? Where do you measure from?

Long story short, I don't want anything wild, or even mild, for my JTR. I bought a Teraflex leveling kit because I don't see an immediate need to more ground clearance or articulation for my purposes. So, that leads me down the path of, "what else do I need? Are adjustable control arms necessary? Track bar? Shock extensions?

As I said, the more I look into it, the more confusing it gets. If I could find some source that consolidated all this information, that would be great.

Rain some knowledge on me.

Hey Austin! With a leveling kit (I’m assuming you have the 1.5” teraflex kit) you don’t necessarily need anything else. With lifts in general the higher you go the more parts you need to correct geometry. Most leveling kits only adjust the height of the front end. When you raise the front end and keep stock control arms you can change caster which can impact steering. To get this back close to stock spec you could replace your front control arms with an adjustable set. Also when raising the front your axle will no longer be perfectly centered under your jeep left to right. Adding an adjustable track bar will allow you to correct this. If you are happy with how it rides and you can get it aligned within spec I’d say you are fine to roll with it how it is. If steering was negatively impacted look into some adjustable control arms. If your axle being out of center bugs you, look into an adjustable track bar. Hope this helps.

Yup; Teraflex.

And yes, that certainly helps. I dove into some YouTube videos that explains a lot of it, though I haven't found much yet on how to properly measure and set one up. I'll dig into more of that this evening.
