Got a JTRD on the way and will be adding 37x12.5x17 tires. I'm 95% on ordering Teraflex Nomad wheels. For the following reasons:
  • Quick air down
  • protected vales
  • rash ring
  • knurling helps lower pressures
Before I order I thought I'd see if others have any feedback on these. I'm especially interested interested in any long term experience. Thanks

I have had these sitting in my garage since before Christmas. I am torn between these and another set of wheels. Bumping to see what others say. Pics would also be appreciated!

I love my Nomad rims:
1) Airing down is a piece of cake, I run 13 PSI. We use them as a demo to show participant's how air down is the #1 thing you can do to improve off-roading traction and Comfort.
a) We drive one tire up on a large rock at 32 PSI.
b) Turn the air down valve to release air.
c) Watch the tire go from being on top of the obstacle to conforming/gripping the obstacle.
d) Participants are amazed!!!
2) Never had a bead break!
3) Air valve is 100% protected and you can replace if needed from the outside of the rim.
4) Rash Rings, the 6-piece rings work Awesome and only cost $41. You only need to replace the ones that get really messed up and you can play with the colors. I have gone to red on the driver's side and white on the passenger side. You can also use a razor blade to clean off all the little nicks and pieces hanging off...
5) The offset is perfect, and the 35" tuck well in the wheel wells. (JK)
6) Finish is holding up well, I ceramic coat every 3 months and the still look new after 2+ years of hard off-roading all over the country and teaching classes.
7) Buy them!!!!

They are pretty neat. I ended up going with another wheel option and adding Apex 3.0s valves which make air down almost too fast ? Airing up is also quicker.
