I am planning to install the Terraflex 1.5" levling kit to my JTR. Based on some advice I found on this thread, I also plan to install the Mopar Lower Control Arms from the 2" lift kit also. My question is....do I need shock extensions?

Terraflex addressed this question in their Youtube install video, in the comments section, specifically they state you do not need the extension if running the fox shocks that come on the rubicon.

You do not need shock extensions for anything under 2 inches, regardless of what trim level/shocks came on it. The shocks all have the same collapsed/extended lengths.

So if you don't need the shock extenders you also don't need the bump stop spacer?? That would give you an extra 1 1/2 inch of compression travel. How much shock extension is left with the spacers in?

Good question. I have this leveling kit installed, and was wondering about this too. I wasn't rubbing before, so I don't think I would be now. But there's so much I don't know or understand about suspension.

Bumpstop extensions are for 2 things. Keep tires from ripping the fenders and protect the shocks from being over compressed. If everything works before the spacers then other than over extending the shocks, it should work without bumpstop spacers.
