If any one is interested in running Teraflexs 1.5” spacer leveling kit, you definitely need shock extension. The jeep rides super bouncy now. I’m also running the daystar 3/4” in the back but I’m only getting the extension for the front. I had the 1.5” teraflex on my JLU and didn’t run into this issue with rubicon shocks, I’m defiantly in the bypass zone.

What extensions are you going with? Rubicon Express makes nice ones, not sure if the Mojave shocks require a special extension

I’m going with the teraflex extension, I like that they are fully boxed. I will have to drill out the holes though, since the Mojave’s have 14mm bolts.

How did this work out for you? ... 1st time I'm hearing of any ride issues or relocation brackets required when adding the teraflex level kit ... I am going to do the same next month, 1.5 upfront and daystar in the rear .. Was not planning on relocation brackets for the shocks ... maybe I should

The ride just felt really bouncy and all down travel was gone. I did not like the feeling of bottoming out the shocks on speed bumps at the grocery store. No way was I going to take it offroad like that. After installing the extension it feels like stock again.

I really like the teraflex shock extension because they are solid aluminum, but if you do get it you need to drill out the holes, I used a 9/16 drill bit, and you will need longer bolts for the bottom of the extension piece. You will also need to pick up an extra set of shock bolts and nuts since the ones that come with the extension are made for regular gladiators. I think the part number I used was for the rear gladiator shock bolts.

Have the spacer lift (1.5 front, 3/4 rear) waiting on a truck to put them on. Purchased specifically because a hundred threads said this set up needed no extensions, LCA, or anything other than the spacers.
How did I understand everything so wrong? Mojave on the way and want to maintain stock ride…

When I had the teraflex 1.5” spacer lift on my JLUD I had no problem with the rubicon shocks. It’s because of the Mojave’s 1” longer front springs and the bypass zone (I believe it was in the bypass zone) of the Fox shocks that creates the problem. I’m only running 35s so if I had to do it again I would probably just have stayed stock, but I do like the little extra ground clearance and look of the height I get with leveling kit, and daystar spacer in the rear.

you could try just using the 1” spacer in the front, I used both the 1” and 1/2” spacer, you might not need the extension than.

I’ll be slipping on some 35 KO2s. I’ll research this a little more. Trying not to overdo it.

If doing like you have done with the added spacers, do you think the shock extensions would be needed if replacing the front bumper with steel and adding a winch? Would it keep it out of the bypass zone? Curious to know, lots of posts with peeps adding new bumpers and winch that cause the front to drop 1/2 inch.

Same .. was hoping for a little more height with out the hassle .. Again first Ive heard of any issues, but like OP stated the mojave is 1inch taller than the rest of the trims so maybe he is on to something specific to the trim

I have the OEM metal front bumper without the end caps. After standing on the bumper it did drop an inch, I weigh about 200lbs. I think if you run an aftermarket steel bumper and a winch it’s going to drop you down to the factor height so the extension wouldn’t be needed.

Any more chatter to be had on this? I'm picking up another Mojave next week and plan to run the Teraflexz 1.5 front spacer kit with the 1 inch bump stop extension up front and the Daystar 3/4 inch spacer in the rear with 0.5 Teraflex spacer and 37's. On my last Mojave (stolen) I had the 1 inch front spacer 3/4 inch rear spacer, no added bumpstops with 35's. The front sat a bit lower than I liked due to the ARB Classic stubby and Warn M8000s.

How close is the shock to bottoming out with the Terafles 2 inch shock extension up front?

Thanks!

I just went ahead and ordered some of the Rock Joc 1.5 inch front shock extensions today. Double the price of the Teraflex 2 inch extensions... Hope I get the result I'm looking for!
